02 December 2011 Update No. 11 on Terry O'Neill  I was talking to Pat, Terry's wife, today and learned that Terry has a new set of problems to cope with.  He has not been felling great of late and his doctor has told him that he may have been suffering for  heart problems for some years, resulting in his current situation.  He is now on new medication in the hope of regaining better health.  Please keep Terry and Pat in your prayers that this medication will do the trick.

13 November 2011  Update No. 10 on Terry O'Neill  Some good news for our Terry.  At Long Last he recently had his keyhole operation.  He was in hospital for just three days and is now home with Pat and taking a good rest as he feels quite tired.  He has put off work on his next book until next year, which I think is a wise decision.  He is still managing a few Book Singings  and has a couple in  November 26th at WATERSTONE'S in Newport, and one at WH Smith's December 2nd.  You know terry, he is in his element at these events as he loves to chat to people and make friends

10 September 2011  Update No. 9 on Terry O'Neill  Following an Email enquiry as to Terry's health, after the concern that was raised at the AGM, I have received an update by Email from Terry.  It seems Terry has been given a right run around by the hospital.  That's the bad news.  The good news is that at last Terry has received some keyhole surgery, which I assume and hope has sorted out the painful gall stones, or whatever was leaving Terry in such agony for so long.  Below is Terry's message:

"Hi John.
Sorry not to have been in touch for so long but I have had so many hospital appointments this last few months with no definite date for surgery
until I was told last month that I would have surgery on September 6th. I went into hospital on the 6th, the anesthetist came to see me in the evening and said that the operation was too dangerous and he would not do it.  After some talking I asked him to have a chat with my wife Pat, when he put the phone down about a quarter of an hour later, he said he had out a lot of my problems and it was 95% probable that the operation would go ahead.
The following day I was taken to the THEATRE and when I came out I had, had key hole surgery. I was sent home late Thursday. Bit sore but time will heal.
As far as the book goes I have had to leave that alone for the moment but hope to be able to do some book signings in about six weeks.
Best wishes for now.  Terry."

Please keep Terry, Pat and family in your kind thoughts and prayers that the keyhole surgery has, at last,  relieved Terry of his pain after so long.

05 July 2011  Terry O'Neill on BBC  Terry has sent me another message about his excited exploits with the  BBC over his now famous Book Some One to Love Us

Hi John.
I thought it might be of interest to you that the BBC. approached me for an interview for a programme called “The Mousetrap and Me”. This will be broadcast on Radio Wales on Thursday 7th of July at 7 pm. I had a great time recording it, and went to London with the presenters to see again.  “The Mousetrap” which has the world’s record for the longest running play, (continuously for 59 years).
Best wishes. Terry.

" The BBC. approached me for an interview for a programme called 'The Mousetrap and Me'. This will be broadcast on Radio Wales on Thursday 7th of July at 7 pm.  I had a great time recording it, and went to London with the presenters to see again.  The Mousetrap' which has the world’s record for the longest running play, (continuously for 59 years)".

I am sure many of you will be interested to hear one of our own, broadcasting over the BBC Radio Network.

Sadly Terry is still waiting for his operation.

02 December 2010  Tony Brady mailed me a copy of a super story about Terry O'Neill, which was published in the Local Paper "the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley Review NEWS"

21 October 2010  Terry O'Neill our Famous Author.  Terry has been extremely busy of late promoting his now famous Book "Someone To Love Us".  I have created a small file of some of the promotional material in which Terry is quite rightly portrayed.

Update No. 8 on Terry O'Neill  I just called Terry's Home and spoke to Julie, Terry's daughter, and learned the latest.  Terry has had too high a temperature to operate came home last night with extra medication of two strong anti-biotics and told to chill out at home for a bit.  It is then hoped Terry will be well enough for the operation to take place.  Please remember Terry and your family in your prayers that this may come about.

01 September 2010  Update 7 on Terry O'Neill  I learned from Martin Cummins that Terry was back in hospital and it was too late to speak with Pat yesterday evening.  I have just spoken to Pat and she tells me that Terry was in excruciating pain on Sunday and they were taken to Hospital.  Terry was taken straight to a bed not delayed by going through A&E.  Terry and Pat had enjoyed the meet up on Saturday with those they met, but it was prudent that they had gone home Saturday evening.  The hospital confirmed that it was the Gall Stones and these had inflamed his pancreas.  He was put on a drip and pain relief straight away  Due to the state of the stones they cannot operate at present and Terry is going for a scan today.  It is expected that Terry will remain in hospital for a week or so.  Please keep Terry and his family in your thoughts and prayers at this time.

18 August 2010  Terry O'Neill Update No 6.  I had a long chat with Terry this morning.  The good news is that he has remained at home since he was discharged from hospital.  I asked Terry if he had enjoyed a walk in the Sun as Pat had told this was where he was when I rang earlier..  On the contrary Terry had found it exhausting and his breathing is now very strained.  He told me that the Hospital had warned him that he could be called back to hospital at any moment.  It seems that they have decided that the problem seems to be in the gall bladder and gall stones, which they have to make a decision as to how best to treat the issue.  He has a next appointment to see a Consultant on 14 September, but could be called in sooner than this.  Please keep Terry in your thoughts and prayers as he is suffering quite a lot, but glad to be at home, for now

12 August 2010  Terry O'Neill Update No. 5  Great News.  I just called, expecting to speak to Pat, and Terry answered the phone.  He said he was drugged up to the eyeballs so I did not wish to keep Terry on the line.  I discovered that he has had the MRI scan and he is clearly glad to be home in the bosom of his great family.  He told me that they can have him back in hospital at any time.  Whilst is a time for Terry "To keep taking the Tablets" I suggest it is time for us "To keep up the prayers"

08 August 2010  Terry O'Neill Update No. 4   I have been calling Pat to get news but until just now I have not made  contact.  Pat tells me there is no news other than to report that Terry is still in hospital and looking much better and is eating some food, whatever he fancies.  Pat is pleased with Terry's progress from the time he went into hospital.  He was due to have his MRI scan on Friday but the scanner broke down.  Hopefully he will have it early this week so that they can determine the best treatment for Terry and perhaps allow Terry to go home.  Please keep up the prayers for Terry and the family.

03 August 2010  Terry O'Neill Update No.3  I have just spoken with Pat, Terry's wife, and discovered that Terry will be kept in hospital for a few more days for Observation.  Terry has today had an X-ray of his lower abdomen and await results.  He is still planned for an MRI Scan as soon as they can fit this in.  Pat is relieved that Terry is being kept is as she feels that Terry was discharged too soon after his last admissions, when they thought it was heart related, whereas they now know they were working on the wrong premise.  Please Keep Terry, Pat and family in your thoughts and prayers during this extended period of hospitalization.

02 August 2010  Terry O'Neill  Update No. 2  See this is the Guestbook message by Tony Brady, after his telephone chat with Pat, Terry's wife.  Printed below.

Terry O' Neill - LATEST - Good news in a telephone chat I had with his wife Pat last night. Terry is improving: he can sit up and take food by mouth now that his drip therapy is complete. He was able to telephone home from hospital to report that he can tolerate solid food.

Some further clinical investigations are due. The blood test feedback is favourable. Terry's heart is fine and he's in good heart himself. I enquired after Pat's health: she has had a few personal health scares in recent years. It's good to know that she is very well and confident that Terry will be back home soon.

Best Regards to all logging on.

01 August 2010  Terry O'Neill Update No. 1    I have just received a cal from Pat, Terry's wife, who is juts home from hospital after being with Terry.  The news is that Terry has been in extreme pain from what is now believed to be Gall Stones which have damaged his Pancreas.  He is now being assessed as having Pancreatitis subject to an MRI scan tonight or tomorrow.  He is on oxygen and strong pain relief by drip.  It is believed he may have damage to his pancreas.  So the thought that this was over exertion affecting his heart is corrected.  I'll keep you updated daily.  Meantime please keep Terry and his family in your prayers.

1 August 2010  Terry O'Neill  I have just had a call from Pat Young telling me that Terry O'Neill is in hospital again.  I say again because Terry Phoned me last week to tell me he had been in hospital for a few days, but was so upset that this had to be on Pat, his wife's, birthday.  He told me he had been overdoing it a bit in the garden.  He seems OK  when speaking to me so I did not worry his friends with a message on our Website.  However it seems he was again working in the garden when he had another turn and has now landed himself in hospital again.  Please keep Terry and his family in your thought and prayers at this time that Terry will be soon home with his family.  I'll call Pat and ensure I can be kept up to date on Terry's condition

06 March 2010  Terry's Book "Someone To Love Us" has been a runaway success at it initial launch.  See Terry's Email to me below.  Just as I always thought it would be.  Congratulations to you Terry and your Family for all the work you did to bring off this amazing result and also to your publishers Harper Collins

"Hi John.
You were lucky to get all yours, Denis Cummins sent me an email to say that only half his order was filled, then he phoned me to say that Amazon had sold out and getting a new order. Hope you enjoy the book if that's the right word. W.H.Smiths sold out in Newport on the first day and the Cwmbran sold out on the second day. I think it was like a trial to see what the sale would be like. Waterstones are having some in shortly and have asked me to do a signing. Will keep you in touch.
Best wishes. Terry."

12 August 2009  Today, Wednesday, at a meeting in London with Harper Collins, a major Book Publisher, Terry was most warmly received and complimented on his book "Never Again".  It seems the way is now wide open for all that needs to be done, to be accomplished with a potential Book publication by next spring.  Our congratulations to Terry for his dogged effort to get this amazing story committed to his PC with so many distractions along the way.  Its is  a Book that is a riveting read and I would not bet against it becoming a film, in the due course of time.  Blaisdon is well proud of you Terry and of your supportive family.

We anxiously await news as the situation develops.  There are indeed developments.  The Book is published by Harper and Collins under the title "Someone To Love US", and will be launched on 4th March 2010 at the extremely good price of £6.99, but can be pre-ordered often at a good discount.  What a bargain!

"Never Again" by Terry O'Neill

The following very short Synopsis is of that part of Terry O'Neill's book, which can be found in the authonomy website.

This is a story about Terry and one of his brothers who was killed by their foster father and was convicted of and sentenced for Manslaughter.  The foster mother also received a lesser sentence.  There is some historical evidence that Agatha Christie's book "The Mousetrap" was based on this true story.

By signing up to become a member of the authnonomy.com website you can read any of the books published in the authonomy website, including the full text of this section of Terry's book - "Never Again", now published under "Someone To Love Us", which he has been working on for many years.   You can also leave your comments on Terry's book on the website, as well as reading the many highly complimentary comments entered by other readers.

It is a really gripping story.
