Pupil National Appeal 2010/2011
Help inspire our young Salesians
to become Salesians for Life
Promoting
Salesian Chaplaincy in our schools The outstanding generosity of Past Pupils, families and friends over the
last 6 years has provided funds for water, electricity, scholarships and medical
supplies to Salesian schools in West Africa, and most recently to Haiti for
recovery after the earthquake. Now we have the opportunity to help the 5000 pupils in English schools to
expand their Salesian values and build a heritage for the future. All our English schools are promoting Salesian values to their pupils
through dedicated Chaplains and lay staff. This is our opportunity to assist
their work through inspirational projects, such as: · Battersea: taking Year 11 on 3 day retreat to Savio House · Bootle: helping 'Bosco Gang' volunteers to visit Don Bosco's birthplace · Chertsey: supporting homes for 450 street children in India · Farnborough: helping BOVA pupil volunteers in their African project · Thornleigh: developing the school choir and new music for prayer To fund these projects we need to raise £12,500 by March 2011. You can make your donation (by cheque made out to 'Salesians of Don Bosco [PP Chaplaincy Project]') to the Past Pupil Associations in Battersea, Blaisdon, Cowley, Farnborough or Shrigley, or post direct to: Chaplaincy Appeal 2010/2011 (N.B. Please ensure that you complete a Gift Aid form - downloadable
at www.salesians.org.uk - it could increase the value of your donation by
25%.) Yours in Don Bosco If you require further details, please contact Patrick J
