1948 to Ferrini House, Northwood, Middx. Joined National Council as European Representative initially. Became and held National President for nearly thirteen years. Resigned and handed over to Patrick Morrissey, a Battersea Past Pupil, who is our current National President. A great appointment to this post. Then accepted the post of National Vice President for life by National Council. Later awarded the Gold Medal by World Council at the 2nd World Congress of Past Pupils in Rome: "Recognising, with gratitude His years of dedicated service to the Past Pupils of Don Bosco in the UK, His generous commitment to the European and World movement of Past Pupils and His genuine love of Don Bosco and the whole Salesian Family." I received the Gold Medal and Certificate on 24 October 1999. This honour was sponsored by National President, Patrick Morrissey, and National Delegate, Father Sean Murray SDB. Click here for Presentation photos Given Communications Responsibilities for National Council and to create a National Website as prime channel. Also to create a National Newsletter for the GB Federation. With help of Father Pat Sherlock SDB, Provincial Secretary achieved the website objective, riding on the Salesian Website: www.donbosco.co.uk/pp. Again with the help of Father Pat Sherlock SDB, I created and have now published 16 issues of a National Newsletter. This brings together information and news of all Local Associations and other news about individual events and Past Pupils and promotes the National Federation Mission Project. All these issues are published on the National Website Created, Manage and Fund the Blaisdon Association independent Website. Couldn't expect Father Pat to do this for us, so had to acquire the software products and learn how to do this for ourselves. Currently Web Manager for the Blaisdon Past Pupils Association Website.
