I have sent a With Sympathy card to John Plevey's family today. Its
message conveys these words:
"May the Knowledge that there are Others, who are Sharing in
your grief, be a Comfort to you at this sad time."
Like most people, I tend - of necessity - to fall back on the
ready-made sentiments captured by caption creators with plenty of time
at their disposal. Sincerity is all...
After some further thought, I remembered a phrase which I cannot
source but have adapted thus:
Life is a country that our departed friend John Plevey has seen and
lived in. We, who have yet to complete the journey, can only learn from
him and honour his memory.
JOHN PLEVEY Rest in Peace

John Plevey was the first Blaisdon Treasurer, when he
offered his services at the meeting in Tan House at which we formed the first
Blaisdon Association Committee. He performed this service in spite of his
failing health, until his frequent visits and stays in hospital made it
impossible for him to continue.
Thank you John for your loyal membership of our Association and
your undertaking of this important role on the Blaisdon Committee.
John died at 10 pm on Saturday 03 October
2009. The funeral details are as follows:
The funeral will take place at 12 o'clock on:
Wednesday 14 October 2009 at:
St. Patrick's Church,
Grangetown,
Cardiff.
John's family home address, for those who wish to send
condolences to his family which I am confident will be most comforting to them,
is::
34 Stockland Street
Grangetown
Cardiff.
CF11 7LW Please keep the late John and
his family and friends in
your kind thoughts and prayers. May He Rest in Peace.
