Frank Smith (1946-51) RIP A TRIBUTE TO A BLAISDON OLD BOY
Above a Tribute by Frank's Brother in Law
Frank you make us feel proud. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE John - Hello! 05 May 2009 UPDATE Frank Smith RIP I was able to speak with Frank's sister, Mary Keating, this morning. She was so anxious to let everyone know how much love her brother had for the Salesians and what they did for him. He always loved and remembered Don Bosco's Feast Day. He always had a spot in his heart for Blaisdon and all that it meant to him. He has made quite a big impact on his local community and Mary is mailing me today a copy of a local newspaper report on the wonderful community work that Frank did, including raising over one million pounds (£1million) for various charities. I will publish this when I get it, with his photo on his page .We can all be very proud of this member of our Brotherhood and no doubt you will be happy to keep him, his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers, who will be buried tomorrow afternoon in Thatcham, Berkshire. ********************************************************************** 04 May 2009 I have just received further news of Frank Smith from Brother Joe Adams: Dear John, ************************************************************************** 26 April 2009 Charlie Springett just called me to say he had received a call from Brother Joe Adams SDB at Farnborough, telling him that Frank Smith 49/50, lately of Thatcham, Berks died last week.
