Recollections of Blaisdon Hall
|
Derry Maher's Photos of Blaisdon in 1989 Some weeks ago Derry Maher mailed me a pouch of photo negatives marked simply 'Blaisdon 89'. He forwarded them to me with a note that he had no idea what they may contain and had no way of reading them. At the time I received them, neither did I. I searched around for viewers, but it appears they are no longer available. One of my neighbours had an old version and form testing with this I could just about make out that they were probably of Blaisdon alright. So I went down to my local PC shop, Maplin, and bought a scanner device for slides and film, which I have used and am delighted I did. These photos from Derry are super pictures of events which so many of us would have attended, and I guess that many of these must be from the Family Day in 1989. I have numbered each photo in the hope that I might get details of the various events and hopefully names of some of the people in the photos. As a gift to Derry, I have printed out a copy of these photos and had them bound and sent to Derry as a thank you for not simply disposing of them. Well done Derry, John Click here (Large File)
